Wescom Resources Group (WRG), a provider of software and technology service solutions for credit unions, announced that 1st Northern California Credit Union launched the CUSO’s Symmetry eBanking software solution for its online banking channel, named @ccessOnline Home Banking. 1st Northern California Credit Union is a cooperative financial institution based in Martinez, California, with $705 million in assets and serving over 28,000 members in the Contra Costa, Solano, and Alameda counties.
The credit union, also known as 1st Nor Cal Credit Union, first started using WRG’s software and services in 2008. David M. Green, President and CEO of 1st Nor Cal Credit Union, decided to upgrade their online banking service in 2016, selecting WRG’s Symmetry eBanking software as the platform to run @ccessOnline Home Banking upon. The project to implement this platform kicked off in June of 2017,and the new online banking system launched for public use on December 12, 2017. In addition to desktop banking, 1st Nor Cal Credit Union also uses WRG as a provider for mobile banking and bill pay services.
A primary motivation for the upgrade was the goal to provide members with a responsive design that would resize the website to fit seamlessly on multiple devices. “We were attracted to WRG’s Symmetry eBanking Online’s responsive design, which will maximize flexibility as technology and members’ needs change,” said Green, “Our goal is to have a completely integrated system whereby the member experience is identical at all touch points. We look forward to the future when we can easily pivot to service our members to the greatest extent possible.”
