Lists Block

Content Editing

Overview

The Lists block allows you to create ordered (numbered) and unordered (bulleted) lists in your content. Our theme includes a custom “No Style” variation that provides a cleaner look when needed.

Adding a List

  1. In the WordPress block editor, click the “+” icon to add a new block
  2. Search for “List” or find it in the “Text” category
  3. Select either “List” (for bullet points) or “Ordered List” (for numbers)

Basic Customization

  • Adding Items: Press Enter after each list item to create a new one
  • Indenting: Use Tab to create a nested sub-list item
  • Outdenting: Use Shift+Tab to move a nested item back to the main level
  • Converting: Switch between ordered and unordered lists using the toolbar options

List Variations

Our theme includes the following list styles:

Default Lists

  • Unordered Lists: Display with bullet points
  • Ordered Lists: Display with sequential numbers
  • Both styles include standard left padding and spacing between items

No Style Variation

  • Removes bullet points or numbers
  • Eliminates left padding
  • Maintains spacing between list items
  • Ideal for:
  • Creating clean, minimalist layouts
  • Lists that don’t require visual bullet points
  • Custom-styled lists using other design elements

How to Apply the No Style Variation

  1. Select your list block
  2. Open the block settings sidebar (right panel)
  3. Look for the “Styles” section
  4. Choose “No Style”

List Block Settings

Additional options in the sidebar include:

  • Typography: Change font size, weight, and other text properties
  • Color Settings: Modify text and background colors
  • Spacing: Adjust padding and margins
  • Reversed Numbers: For ordered lists, display numbers in reverse order

Best Practices

  • Use unordered lists for items where sequence doesn’t matter
  • Use ordered lists for sequential steps or ranked items
  • Keep list items concise and parallel in structure
  • Use the “No Style” variation when you want a cleaner, more minimal appearance
  • Avoid nesting lists too deeply as it can affect readability

This customizable Lists block with its “No Style” variation gives you flexibility to present information clearly while maintaining a cohesive design throughout your website.
