Typography and Headings Guide

Good typography makes your content easier to read and helps create visual hierarchy.

Using Headings

Headings organize your content and improve accessibility:

  • H1: Usually reserved for the page title (automatically handled)
  • H2: Major section headings
  • H3: Sub-sections within H2 sections
  • H4-H6: Further nested sub-sections as needed

To add a heading:

  1. Add a Heading block
  2. Type your heading text
  3. Use the toolbar or sidebar to select the heading level (H2-H6)

Paragraph Formatting

For paragraph text, you can:

  • Apply bold or italic formatting using the toolbar
  • Create bulleted or numbered lists
  • Adjust text alignment (left, center, right, justified)
  • Add links to text by selecting it and using the link button

Typography Best Practices

  • Maintain a logical heading structure (H2 → H3 → H4, never skip levels)
  • Use headings for structure, not for styling text
  • Keep paragraphs relatively short for better readability
  • Use bold and italic sparingly for emphasis
  • Ensure sufficient contrast between text and background
  • Be consistent with formatting throughout your site
