How to Login to Your WordPress Website

To access your WordPress dashboard, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your web browser and go to wescomresources.com/wp-admin
  2. Enter your username or email address
  3. Enter your password
  4. Click the “Log In” button

Password Requirements

Wescom Resources enforces the following password requirements:

  • Passwords must be changed every 365 days
  • Minimum 14 characters
  • Must include at least one uppercase letter
  • Must include at least one lowercase letter
  • Must include at least one number
  • Must include at least one special character

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Your site is secured with Two-Factor Authentication for additional security:

  1. After entering your username and password, you’ll be prompted for a verification code
  2. Open Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device
  3. Enter the 6-digit code displayed in your authenticator app
  4. Click “Verify” to complete your login

First-Time 2FA Setup

If you’re logging in for the first time:

  1. Complete steps 1-3 of the normal login process
  2. You’ll be prompted to set up 2FA
  3. Scan the displayed QR code using Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
  4. Enter the verification code shown in your app
  5. Save the backup codes provided in a secure location (important for account recovery)

IP Address Restrictions

For enhanced security, access to the WordPress dashboard is limited to approved IP addresses only.

For Wescom Resources Staff

  • Your company VPN is already whitelisted
  • Always connect to the company VPN before attempting to log in
  • No additional steps are needed as long as you’re connected to the company network

For West Edge Team Members

  • Your current IP address must be on the approved list
  • When working from a new location or network:
    1. Contact the website administrator to update the IP whitelist
    2. Provide your current IP address (you can find this by searching “what is my IP” on Google)
    3. Wait for confirmation before attempting to log in

Password Recovery

If you’ve forgotten your password:

  1. Click “Lost your password?” on the login page
  2. Enter your username or email address
  3. Check your email for password reset instructions
  4. Create a new strong password that meets all requirements
  5. You’ll need to complete the 2FA verification process after resetting your password

Security Best Practices

  • Use a password manager to generate and store complex passwords
  • Never share your login credentials or 2FA device with unauthorized individuals
  • Always log out when finished, especially on shared computers
  • Store your 2FA backup codes in a secure location
  • Report any suspected unauthorized access attempts immediately to your IT department
